What began as a batch of Christmas gifts grew into something far more meaningful. Founded by a husband-and-wife team, one a PhD chemist, the other a passionate advocate for ethical living, Base Ethical Soaps has been handcrafting tens of thousands of bars and liquid soaps annually since 2017.

The ethos is disarmingly simple: give people the personal care products they use every day, made properly, with the most local, ethical and high-quality Australian ingredients possible.
